Mr. LaSalle has over forty years of development, financing, consulting, and management experience. Tom and the Tapestry team have extensive experience in managing market rate and subsidized senior housing, assisted living and memory care facilities, rental apartments and commercial offices. Commercial management includes managing the 600,000 square foot BLN Office Park since 1980. The company has also been headquartered at BLN during this period. Mr. LaSalle is a graduate of the University of Minnesota. Currently he serves on the Aquatennial Ambassador Organization Board and was past Commodore. Throughout the years, Mr. LaSalle has held positions on various Boards, associations and charitable organizations including:

Richard BercCFO-Tapestry Senior Housing Development, LLC; CFO-Tapestry Senior Housing Management, LLC
Richard Berc graduated from the University of Minnesota. Mr. Berc has been a Certified Public Accountant for over forty years. He began his career with Arthur Andersen & Co, specializing in corporate taxation. During that time, he advised several publicly traded corporations and many small businesses. He was a founding partner of Berc & Fox Limited, a firm engaged in public accounting. For over thirty years, Mr. Berc practiced primarily in the construction, real estate, and hospitality industries during which time he worked with Tapestry. He assisted in taking two companies public, and served on the Boards of Directors for several organizations. Berc & Fox Limited eventually merged with Baker, Tilly, Virchow, and Krause.
Richard BienapflCOO-Tapestry Senior Housing Development, LLC; COO-Tapestry Senior Housing Management, LLC
Mr. Bienapfl has been in the real estate development and construction business for over 40 years. His experience includes project conceptualization, site selection, project programming, design/construction team selection, management, project budget, cost tracking, project financing, and the oversight of construction including the logistics of purchasing and installation of all required furniture, fixtures and equipment to bring a property to full operations. His activities have included senior housing, multifamily housing (6,000 plus units), hotels (4,000 plus keys), commercial real estate (office and retail), and over 20 years of involvement in the casino industry as the Vice President of Design and Construction for a publicly held company for over $3 billion of casinos, and related hotels, convention centers, golf courses, restaurants, spas, major roadway, site infrastructure, parking garages, administrative support facilities, and other amenities.
Mr. Bienapfl started in business in 1970 as a staff developer for the Bor-Son Building Corporation in government assisted housing programs. This included two years for the company in Baltimore, MD as the primary development and construction representative for a $23 million, 1,000 unit public housing turnkey project, the largest project ever built under this program.
In 1978 he became a partner in Mr. LaSalle’s original companies, Realty Development Services, Inc. and Realty Management Services, Inc. Dick was involved developing, leasing, selling, and managing multi-family housing, senior housing, office, and retail projects for investors and for its own account. His projects included new construction and substantial rehabilitation of historic structures and adaptive reuse of buildings. During his tenure he was responsible for the development of approximately 6,000 units of multi-family rental and sale units, 200,000 SF of office space, and over 100,000 square feet of retail.
In 1991, he began consulting for Grand Casinos, Inc in the development of hotels and performing site due diligence. In 1993 he became Vice President of Development for Grand Casinos, Inc. specifically to oversee the master planning, design, development, and construction of the $796 million Grand Casino Tunica from the ground up including complete project infrastructure (9 miles of roads, 2 million GPD sewer treatment plant, water treatment facility), 1,400 hotel rooms, 392,000 SF floating casino, 62,000 square foot convention center, 200 space RV park, Hale Irwin Golf Course, sporting clays center, live entertainment center, and 126 acre manmade lake. The project was constructed on time and within 2% of its originally anticipated budget.
In addition, during the completion of Grand Casino Tunica, he oversaw the addition of 1,700 hotel rooms added to Grand Casino Biloxi, Grand Casino Gulfport and Grand Casino Coushatta, numerous remodeling projects and additions to all of Grand’s 7 properties including 2 event/theater facilities, childcare facilities, spas, health clubs, and restaurants.
In 2000 the company was reconstituted as Lakes Entertainment, Inc. As Vice President of Development and Construction he went on to complete the two largest green field Native American casino resort projects ever built, the Four Winds Casino Resort in New Buffalo, Michigan and Red Hawk Casino near Sacramento, California.
At Tapestry, Mr. Bienapfl is responsible for pre-development, project due diligence, project selection, project programming, design/construction team selection and management, project budgeting, cost tracking, contract negotiations, and construction oversight.
Tim TrimbleExecutive Vice President-Director of Marketing
Mr. Trimble has more than 30 years’ experience in senior housing marketing, management, development and ownership. He has excelled in bringing new communities from the initial pre-marketing through full stabilization. Mr. Trimble began his career in senior housing at Bor-Son Construction in 1983, where he assisted clients in the development of senior facilities. In 1992, Tim became Executive Vice President, COO and co-owner of SilverCrest Properties. His duties included overseeing the operations of SilverCrest’s growing senior housing facilities. He was also an owner in numerous senior projects, which facilitated understanding of the operations from an owner’s perspective. At SilverCrest he was accountable for the P & L of all facilities. Mr. Trimble also developed and managed the company’s first senior campus working with a non-profit client. He guided the company’s first out of state management opportunity in San Antonio, Texas. Tim also initiated and cofounded SilverCrest’s food service company, GTC Dining Services.
In 2007, Mr. Trimble co-founded Oxford Property Management. He guided the company’s effort and established their senior management expertise. The company also grew its 3rd party business. Oxford eventually began its own home care program which he directed. The delivery of care and bottom line results were his responsibility. Prior to joining Tapestry, Tim was the Director of Senior Development Services for Minneapolis-based Greiner Construction. Responsibilities included oversight of the company’s senior housing developments. He was responsible for coordinating project teams for senior housing projects, identifying sites, procuring financing, supervising the city approval process and directing all community marketing efforts.
Ronald E. SellnowExecutive VP-Tapestry Senior Housing Management, LLC
Mr. Sellnow has been actively involved in the real estate management and finance industry for over 35 years. During that time, he has developed a proven record of quality performance, with strong leadership, analytical and organizational skills. Mr. Sellnow has an extensive background in housing management, with a special emphasis on senior and government assisted properties. He has served as Vice President of PEMBCO, a real estate development and management company based in Minneapolis, MN. At PEMBCO, Mr. Sellnow directed property management operations for all elderly, family occupied residential properties and commercial space.
Mr. Sellnow was also a Vice President of Management Operations at Thies & Talle Management, Inc., which operated as a real estate syndication company. Ron also gained valuable housing related experience while working in the finance and housing management divisions of the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency in St. Paul, MN. Ron joined the Tapestry organization at the time Tapestry acquired PEMBCO. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, is a licensed real estate broker and holds the Certified Property Manager designation through the Institute of Real Estate Management. Additionally, he is a member of the Minnesota Multi Housing Association, Minneapolis Board of Realtors, Midwest Assisted Housing Management Association and American Senior Housing Association.
Teresa PawlinaPresident, Principal, MD and RN-Tapestry Senior Housing Management, LLC
Teresa is responsible for all aspects of healthcare program development, staffing, long term planning and implementation within the organization. She works across various healthcare systems, universities and insurance companies to enhance Tapestry’s services in an innovative and cost-effective manner. Before joining Tapestry, she was the President of assisted living and home health care company. Her responsibilities included total development and operations of more than 10 assisted livings and memory care facilities. As a full service home healthcare agency, the company served over 400 clients within their homes and in a variety of assisted living locations. The agency, which is Medicare and Medicaid certified, is licensed by the Minnesota Department of Health as a Comprehensive Home Care Provider. The company also provided training for Mayo Clinic residents and nursing students at several campuses within the University of Minnesota system.
Teresa started her career in healthcare with the Columbia Hospital Corporation of America (HCA), North Florida Regional Medical Center, the largest for-profit healthcare organization in the world. She has over 30 years of healthcare experience in hospitals, assisted living facilities and homecare systems. Teresa has facilitated the development of the integration of healthcare delivery systems within assisted living and homecare settings for numerous organizations. Teresa is a published author of several healthcare studies and is an invited speaker for Mayo Clinic educational events. She serves on the advisory board for Winona State University’s College of Nursing and Health Sciences and is a former diplomat with the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians, Inc., the nation’s largest organization of interdisciplinary healthcare professionals. She graduated from the Pace University Leinhard School of Nursing in Pleasantville, NY, and the Nicolaus Copernicus Medical School (now part of the Jagiellonian University Medical College) in Krakow, Poland. She conducted her postdoctoral work at the University of Florida’s College of Medicine. She is very familiar with assisted living licensing in the State of Florida and still maintains Florida residency status.
Christopher BlumCEO and Principal-Tapestry Senior Housing Management, LLC
Mr. Blum has 26 years of operational experience in the senior healthcare field as an administrator, executive and owner. Christopher provides a unique perspective; having literally “grown up” in the business of senior healthcare as the second generation owner/operator of a 109-bed long term care facility. As Administrator and eventually CEO; Christopher built a small, local home healthcare agency into one of the largest freestanding agencies in the state of Minnesota. Chris is a former financial management and operations consultant to numerous home healthcare agencies and a past board member of the Region 7 Minnesota Home Care Association. Christopher has created a number of senior healthcare businesses from the ground up. His history and expertise in senior housing operations led to success as the developer, owner and operator of a portfolio of senior assisted living and memory care projects. He remains a co-owner of Maple Manor Health Care & Rehabilitation, an 81 bed skilled nursing facility, Meadow Lakes Senior Living and Prairie Meadows Senior Living, all of which are located in Rochester, MN. These projects have regularly exceeded industry NOI per unit standards while setting the standard for quality of care and customer service. Chris is a graduate of the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN. He is a past board member and current member of the MN Homecare Association as well as a current member of ALFA and LeadingAge MN.
Greg LaSalleTapestry Senior Housing Development, LLC VP-Construction Services
Greg LaSalle joined Tapestry in 2004 serving as a manager within the hospitality division. In 2005, Greg was transferred to Construction Services-Owner’s Representation and worked primarily with Lakes Entertainment on casino developments throughout the United States and the University Enterprise Laboratories (UEL). UEL is a bioscience incubator, located in St. Paul, MN. Under his supervision, the facility has been operating at capacity for the last several years, and is considered the premier biotech incubator in the state. Greg oversees the construction and renovation of the Tapestry senior housing facilities. He also has extensive interaction with all related third party vendors including the project architects. His involvement commences in working with third party builders in the initial budgets through the completion of renovation and construction.
Tracy PoppDirector of Compliance and Medicare Coordinator Reimbursements
Tracy has worked for Tapestry for over 6 years. Her primary responsibilities include HUD audits and oversight of all regulatory and compliance requirements. She is the primary contact regarding financing and healthcare compliance with each project administrator.
Brent LaSalleCorporate General Counsel
Mr. LaSalle is a graduate of Macalester College and the University of Minnesota Law School. Brent practiced for three years with the firm of Kelly & Lemmons, PA, working with both the Real Estate group and the Employment/Labor Law group. In 2007, Brent affiliated with the LaSalle Development Group and Tapestry Senior Housing Management, LLC. Brent served as in-house counsel, as well as a regional property manager for Tapestry Management and as a developer with LaSalle Development Group. Brent’s experience in the field of property management, real estate development, and as an attorney provides him with a unique perspective and an unusual set of skills. Currently, Mr. LaSalle serves as General Counsel for Tapestry.
